Day 37 of PURPOSE – Turning Points

This should take you by surprise. Jim Collins, author of best selling book, 'Good to Great' was a student of the same course that I was, called 'Creativity in Business.' In this course, taught by Stanford Professor, Michale Ray we utilized a technique called heuristics, also known as 'live withs.' This experience turned out to be a major turning point in both Jim Collin's life as well as mine. The purpose of heuristics is to 'live with' a certain mindset day in and day out for an entire week. We chose a different 'live with' each week and tracked our experiences over a 12 week period. The way we tracked our experiences was by BLOGGING. This enabled all of us in the course to write about and share our experiences with one another. Its amazing how 12 hours a day, we can do one thing, WORK, and forget about the most important thing, OUR LIFE. In our current course on 'The Secret' we call this exercise of heuristics '2nd Life.' This week each of us is supposed to be practicing a certain 'live with.' My '2nd life' commitment is to Live with Vitality this week. What is yours? My experience today was that I decided to spend two hours down by the harbor returning phone calls. I chose the harbor because at sunset this is where I feel most connected and in spirit with the Universe. Would you believe that those two hours were the most productive part of my day. It is now 11 PST as I write this to you and I still feel the vitality. If it helped Jim Collins write a best seller and it works for me, you might consider implementing this method. It could be YOUR TURNING POINT!

Decide on your 'live with' and BLOG about it. 23 hrs and 55 minutes of doing and 5 minutes of reflection. That’s all it takes!

Ted you truly are an inspiration, you have such dedication and desire and you are proving with those qualities and beliefs you can accomplish anything. Everyday I try to focus on the positive and to bring into my life all that comes with that attitude. I try to embrace all that life has brought to me at this point and open myself for even more. I do feel a shift but feel I'm still in a "training" so to speak part of my growth. I'm at the point of trying to align my thoughts with the universe to bring in all that I am deserving.

My 2nd life commitment is passion. I am focusing this week on being passionate about all thoughts, feelings, and actions. My passion for life has created many strategic by-products most notably: increased energy for myself and those around me, higher awareness of my surroundings, and an increased perception and connection to the universe.

If you are pursuing your 2nd life and have come from another industry, the focus needs to stay way ahead of the curve as we are constantly feeling reminders of our "1st life". It is easy to say that the 1st life does not have a factor on the 2nd life, but I think for some the transition may be a little bumpier than for others. The Missed Fortune movement for instance, is something that I keep hearing about that makes me think of this. There seems to be a lot of people that are finding that this is no easy transition. I have transitioned my entire business around this concept, and I am here to say that I enjoy my work way more. The buy in from the consumers seems to be the difficult part. I am closing about 60% to 70% of the clients that I interview. I am curious how many others are finding this to be a little difficult in the "2nd Life" of their practices.

Think about this for a second James: In a universe where there is no space and time,or in the quantum realm.... the past, present, and future coexist. Our power exists when we bring all ideas and all experiences into one level of consciousnes. It is not just ourconsciousness that we are accessing, it is te consciousnss of all that ever has been and all th ever will be. we have the capability to access all the marvelous ideas floatiing around in the universe, if we are open to it. When the student is ready, the teacher will come.

Debbie: wait till you get a hold of Fridays course. I am now capable of helping people remove beliefs from the subconscios mind. Things that I thought I was deserving of and worthy of, turned out not to be the case based on beleif structures that I had inherited or had picked up on during my journey of life. Thats right, we actually inherit the DNA structure of aour ancestors. But we don't just inherit eye color and hair color, we inherit memories that are stored deep down in our cells. The trick is to acces those memories and to alter or mature the belief so that it is capable of reaching its full potential. So we all are deserving and we are worthy of great things, the trick is to believe it and imprint that new belief in the subcoscious mind, because the subconscious mind is 30,000 times more powerful than the conscious mind.

Bobby: A young would be composer approache Mozart and said I want to compose beautiful symphonies like you, How do I do it? Mozar said you are still young yet, start with Vignuettes. The would be composer said, yes but you started writng symphonies when you were nine. Mozart said, yes but I never had to ask someone how to do it"........Mozart wasnt being egotistical. What he knew was that the symphonies were already out there in the universe, he just had to access them through his consciousness. For all of us, the answers are already out there, you don't have to ask anyone, you just have to be open to receiving them. Don't follow someone elses advice, thats their advice for their own life. Listen to everyone and access all the wisdom, but always make your own decisions.

Pretty good stuff Ted.

I guess if I have one question to you, it would be this.

We all live different lives and no one really knows what the other person may have been through. One person may be in prison, the other in a mansion in Malibu. One person may have no debt and have their finances dialed in, and then another may have debt up to their eyeballs because they went out on the limb on a financial venture, and things are taking longer than expected to get rolling.

It seems that it would be easier for someone to understand the bliss the less problems there are, but for the person sitting in a cell, or the person with the debt, they can reach in and try to pull it together. Finding strength in God or whatever one would determine to be the Universe, (I choose God), is the answer. But to say there are not bad days would be an illusion.

What is the answer to the question of life in general? What is happiness? Can you throw your arms up in the air one day and walk away from your problems and say, "that’s it", "I am going to find my happiness"... Of course not! I personally want to make a difference in many people's lives, but sometimes the day can deal out some pain my friend.

I went for a bike ride today for the first time in a while, and it works for me every time. But just getting the time to go right now seems to be a challenge.

I know that I am on the cusp of breaking through the B.S. and I know that I can only do that by staying positive.

We can make a huge difference in the world with people like you and Moe.

I intend on making a difference on this end, and I appreciate your support. great thoughts.
