Law of Attraction

Attracting greater money and attracting more things into our lives cannot sustain happiness without attracting greater purpose into our lives. With greater purpose we have a greater appreciation for everything in our lives. We start to see the world as infinite potential and every object, person, and organism around us brings us greater joy and appreciation. I call it the rule of 6's. It may be a new shirt that lasts 6 days, it could be a new suit that lasts 6 weeks, and it could be a new car that lasts 6 months. Without greater purpose, we lose the appreciation for all things in our lives. It’s only a matter of time before the ego desires more and more, while unhappiness waits in the doorway. But, with great purpose comes great spirit, and the ultimate fulfillment, to serve something bigger than ourselves.

The Rule of 6's describes a mindset that is a deterrent to
happiness. For example, everyday I see the effect of advertising on our society. We are so conditioned to seek immediate gratification, and it is ongoing. A "want" is now a "need" and we have a harder time making the distiction between the two. Ego drives decisions. The key to happiness lies in being silent, listening, and connecting to our purpose.
